Lisa: I helped take care of your beautiful mother her last couple of days at the PCU at East. I was told you were able to take her home and I am so happy for that. You gave her amazing care, love, and peace and I hope that is a comfort to you now and in the future. You are in my prayers, Stephanie Lemke, RN

What can you say to a best friend who just lost her mom? I feel sad for you Lisa, helpless that I am not there to sit with you and to share times of the past so we can laugh and carry on as we use too. You are the strongest woman I have ever known and even though we are in different states, you will always always be my sister. Time and circumstances has seperated us, but never erasing you from my heart. I feel your pain, as you did when I lost my dad. I know you did everything in your power to make it right for your mom, i know this because I have never known you to do anything half way and I will always admire you for that, you are an amazing woman. My memories of your mom are many. Taking us to acrobatic lessons in old betsy and than going to the Berlin Auction to buy butter cake. OH LISAAAAAAA!! she would say. She always had something sweet on the counter top for all to enjoy. She loved her sweets as she did her pets. I remember your mom being strong and extremely commited an woman, committed to her family. I remember coming over during the holidays and looked forward to seeing your Xmas tree that she decorated so pretty,I remember her sticking up for you in school, even though you and I were up to no good..haaa,I remember her being a part of our conversations about our loves, heartaches, weddings and babies, never placing judgement, just to be there was good enough. I remember your mom loving to work in the garden, just would sit in the grass, as to say to hell with everything else, this is what I love to do and Im doing it. A lesson to be learned. I know what it is like to loose a father, but never a mother. Stay strong Lisa, she will visit with you more than you know now. Watch for the signs and say, thank you mom for watching over me and my family. Now, take a deep breath and go on living. I will miss her too!
